Infantile Acropustulosis is a chronic relapsing and remitting disease
occurring in neonates, infants and young children. The typical pruriti
c vesicopustular eruptions appear predominantly on palms and soles, bu
t they can also involve face and trunk. A permanent spontaneous resolu
tion usually occurs at the age of 2 to 3 years. The etiology is unknow
n. The prognosis is good and specific therapy is usually not necessary
. Infantile acropustulosis has been known since 1979 and until now mos
t of the reported cases have been from black children. We report on tw
o caucasian children, one of german and one of turkish origin, who suf
fered from this disease.
