Abstract
A method for luminescence determination of yttrium in rocks (gabbro-es sexite, granite, and carbonatite) is described that is based on measur ement of the luminescence intensity of an yttrium sorbate with quinoso l on polyurethane foam. The effect of matrix elements is eliminated by extraction with diantipyrylmethane. The threshold of the yttrium cont ents determined is 1x10(-3)%.
