Bn. Huang et al., STUDIES ON SULFINATODEHALOGENATION .27. MECHANISM STUDIES USING SPIN-TRAPPING TECHNIQUES, Journal of fluorine chemistry, 75(1), 1995, pp. 1-5
Some polyfluoroalkyl t-butyl nitroxide radicals have been generated by
using 2-methyl-2-nitrosopropane (MNP) to trap polyfluoroalkyl radical
s formed in sulfinatodehalogenation reactions. Several oxyanion radica
ls of sulfur generated directly from sulfinatodehalogenation reagents
are observed for the first time. All these support the SET mechanism f
or the sulfinatodehalogenation reaction proposed to account for the ex
perimental results.
