SUBFAMILY NAMES IN AN 1832 PREPRINT OF AN ARTICLE ON BOTANY FOR THE 7TH EDITION OF THE ENCYCLOPEDIA-BRITANNICA

An article on botany, written by George A. W. Arnott and ultimately pu blished in the seventh edition of the Encyclopaedia britannica in 1842 , first appeared as a preprint a decade earlier, being effectively pub lished on 9 Mar 1832. Arnott validly published numerous subfamily name s, many of which are presently attributed to later authors.
