Abstract
The Cwikel inequality for integral operators of the type a(x)b(D) will be generalized. It will be shown that the asymptotical behavior of th e singular numbers of such operators in general can be estimated by th e asymptotics of classical phase space volume spanned by these symbols . Applications to non-power symbols are given.
