Em. Korenic et Kl. Marshall, BLENDING POLYSILOXANE GLASS RESINS TO PRODUCE OPTICAL FILMS WITH A SPECIFIC REFRACTIVE-INDEX, Applied optics, 34(34), 1995, pp. 8048-8049
Commercially available polysiloxane resins can be blended either in th
e solid state or in solution to produce optically transparent films wh
ose refractive index is a Linear function of the weight percent of one
component. Useful applications for these ''glass resins'' include pro
tective coatings for hygroscopic optical crystals, antireflective or i
ndex-matching films, and homeotropic alignment layers for liquid cryst
al devices.
