Abstract
Photosystem II inhibition by s-triazines having hydrophilic amino grou ps was examined in isolated spinach chloroplasts. Among them, the hydr oxyalkyl- and alkoxyalkylamino derivatives were potent inhibitors. The hydroxyalkylamino-s-triazines seemed to interact with the binding sit e in a manner different from that of other triazines, since they neede d a time to build up to constant inhibition and showed a different the rmoluminescence glow peak.
