From molecular-dynamics simulation of liquid-liquid interface at low t
emperatures between two simple liquids, we determine two point correla
tion functions, also for the liquid-vacuum interface. True Fourier vec
tor in-plane dependence, correlations parallel and perpendicular to th
e interface, susceptibilities, and surface scattering factor (in the B
orn approximation) are discussed. The Bhatia-Thornton transformation i
s generalized to inhomogeneous systems and applied. Effects of capilla
ry waves, surface reconstruction, surface layering, and prominence of
bulk structures are found and discussed. (C) 1995 American Institute o
