Abstract
The interaction of spermine with egg-yolk phosphatidylcholine liposome s was investigated. The EPR spin labeling technique evidenced that spe rmine induces modifications of some membrane functions of biological i nterest like water permeability and is a possible modulator of diffusi on processes for charged and polar molecules. The association constant for a hypothesized complex between spermine and the phosphate group o f phosphatidylcholine was evaluated by enzymatic methods.
