Abstract
We describe an optically controlled microwave attenuator based on a mi crostrip reverse directional coupler where optical illumination modifi es the loads at the coupling and transmission ports. A tunable attenua tion up to 10 dB was measured at the center frequency. Experimental an d theoretical results are compared and agree well. (C) 1995 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
