Pss. Prasad et al., THE INFLUENCE OF MICROWAVE-HEATING ON THE MORPHOLOGY AND BENZENE HYDROGENATION ACTIVITY OF ALUMINA-SUPPORTED AND SILICA-SUPPORTED PALLADIUMCATALYSTS, Catalysis letters, 35(3-4), 1995, pp. 345-351
Alumina- and silica-supported palladium catalysts were prepared by con
ventional and microwave heating. The catalysts have been characterized
by nitrogen adsorption, hydrogen chemisorption, X-ray powder diffract
ion and temperature-programmed reduction and tested for benzene hydrog
enation activity. The results show that preparation of samples by micr
owave heating leads to enhanced crystallite size and increased hydroge
nation activity.
