Abstract
The incidence and consequences of inappropriate sinus tachycardia foll owing modification of the AV nodal area with radiofrequency energy wer e prospectively studied in a consecutive series of 118 patients. Twelv e (10%) patients developed this complication, which persisted less tha n 2 week in all but three patients. Inappropriate sinus tachycardia wa s only observed after fast path way ablation. Only four patients requi red temporary treatment with a beta blocker.
