Magnetization precession in the A phase of He-3 near the transition te
mperature in the collisionless region was investigated. The solution d
escribing a coherently precessing two-domain structure in a nonuniform
external field was found. In contrast to the B phase, in the limit of
a uniform external field this solution transforms into uniform spin p
recession. The behavior of the A and B phases of He-3 in different reg
imes (hydrodynamic and collisionless) is compared. (C) 1995 American I
