Abstract
Phase conjugation of radiation from a free-running ruby laser by a the rmal nonlinearity of dye-activated nematics was demonstrated. The conj ugation coefficient was R similar to 100% near a phase transition to t he isotropic state. The temperature dependences of R were investigated theoretically and experimentally.
