Abstract
Hemi-inattention (hemi-neglect, unilateral neglect) is defined as a de ficit in processing or interpreting multiple sensory stimuli from one half of the perceptual field. It is typically caused by cerebral lesio ns in the contralateral hemisphere. The dog presented in this case rep ort demonstrated hemi-inattention as a result of cerebral metastasis o f renal hemangiosarcoma. Two other malignant tumors were identified on necropsy, but no evidence of metastasis of these tumors was detected.
