C. Morita et al., A FREE-VIBRATION ANALYSIS OF ANISOTROPIC RECTANGULAR-PLATES WITH VARIOUS BOUNDARY-CONDITIONS, Journal of sound and vibration, 187(5), 1995, pp. 757-770
An approximate method in which discrete Green functions are used is de
scribed for analyzing the free vibration of anisotropic rectangular pl
ates with various boundary conditions. The discrete Green functions ar
e obtained by transforming the differential equations involving Dirac'
s delta functions into integral equations and numerically integrating
them. By employing these discrete Green functions, the differential eq
uations governing the free vibration of anisotropic rectangular plates
are transformed into the equivalent boundary integral equations, whic
h are then solved to obtain the eigenvalues and eigenmodes. Comparison
s with existing results confirm the accuracy of the numerical solution
s obtained by the method. Results are presented for anisotropic rectan
gular plates with a number of combinations of clamped and simply suppo
rted edges and various angles of fiber orientation. (C) 1995 Academic
