Abstract
Polysulfones are degraded by high-energy radiation with highly specifi c bond scission of the main chains. The effect of gamma- and electron- beams on selected liquid-crystalline polysulfones was determined. The radiation-induced degradation of polysulfones by elimination of the mo nomers can be used for electro-optical displays.
