Abstract
Glucose aversion in the German cockroach, Blattella germanica (L.) is controlled by a semidominant, autosomal gene (Glu). Earlier work indic ated that GILL is linked with ruby eye (ru), a linkage group VII (chro mosome 9) marker. Recombination was estimated at 13.6 +/- 2.52%. Linka ge tests with notched sternite (st) were undertaken to place the Glu l ocus within linkage group VIII. The results confirmed the expected lin kage with st. Recombination was estimated at 18.2 +/- 2.1 %, indicatin g that the order of loci is Glu-ru-st.
