F. Kastanek et al., LABORATORY AND PILOT-SCALE SORPTION AND BIODEGRADATION OF POLYCHLORINATED-BIPHENYLS FROM GROUND-WATER, International biodeterioration & biodegradation, 35(1-3), 1995, pp. 287-300
The combination of sorption procedures and biodegradation of PCB-conta
minated ground water is presented. The efficiency of PCB removal in th
e laboratory and pilot-scale technology is compared. Physical procedur
es used were: sorption on bentonite, active carbon, carbon fibre tissu
e and polymers D1V1, CME and Ostion. Biodegradation was carried out by
the indigenous cocultures isolated from the polluted sites of the Cze
ch Republic.
