Abstract
This paper deals with the particle size measurement on anode slimes, d one by the analysis of diffraction patterns. The investigative work wa s carried oat with anodic slime of 4 different copper-anodes, which we re electrolytical refined in ''pilot scale'' cells. The anodic slime t exture and particle size is significantly dependent on the physical tr eatment and the chemical composition. The developed measurement proces ses allow a distinction between the primary grain size and the ''in si tu'' state of the slime in the electrolytic cell. These differences ar e explained by the chemical and phase composition of the anode slimes.
