Abstract
A case study illustrates that even after discontinuation fluoxetine st ill increases amtitriptyline plasma-levels. This is caused by an inhib ition of the metabolism of tricyclics by fluoxetine which was still ac tive due to the long elimination half-life of this substance and its m etabolite.
