Abstract
We report the case of a severe mixed community-acquired pneumonia (MCP ) caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae and Chlamydia pneumoniae. This as sociation is very uncommon, and this pneumonia has been very severe. T he characteristics of MCP and the present knowledges of C. pneumoniae (microbiological diagnosis and susceptibility to antimicrobial agents) are presented.
