The paper discloses bench testing results embracing over 40 domestic a
nd foreign corrosion inhibitors used at formation water conditions in
AO Orenburgneft oil fields. As has been found, the most efficient inhi
bitor is VNPP-1. Its use has given a 10-fold failure rate reduction at
water lines employed by formation pressure support systems. Further V
NPP-1 studies are planned, aimed to enhance its performance in contact
with hydrogen sulphide and carbon dioxide present in pipelines.
