Abstract
Impact of transverse partition thickness, number and spacing along wit h alignment between packer and tubing on liquid leaks between them is addressed. A number of plunger sealing capacity tests was performed fo r a device combined of numerous consecutive plungers. A specially desi gned plunger was installed to maintain piston/cylinder sealing capacit y before wear-resistant, high-strength packing seals become completely unfit for service.
