Abstract
The paper addresses performance of long-stroke well pumps with various surface drives where a 1,100 - 1,500 m long steel band is used for tr action. Operation of hydraulic and mechanical drives was compared, and the first one appeared to be more advantageous. Other issues relating to operation of long-stroke pumps with flexible drives are also asses sed.
