The trends in central hemodynamics and muscular performance were inves
tigated in 107 patients with essential hypertension stage I and II. Th
e intensity of bicycle exercise was either preset (50% of individual e
xercise tolerance) or decided individually by each examinee (39 and 68
patients of group 1 and 2, respectively). 12 bicycle trainings have i
mproved myocardial contractility at rest and threshold muscular load,
exercise tolerance in group 2. Group 1 hemodynamic and performance par
ameters changed insignificantly.
