APPLICATION PROCESS IMPROVEMENT YIELDS RESULTS

As research money becomes increasingly scarce and competition continue s to grow for fewer and fewer dollars, it is imperative that research administrators help investigators find every advantage in the applicat ion process. Today, after a continuous effort to improve our grant app lication process, the Department of Medical Microbiology and Immunolog y at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is submitting many more appli cations and realizing some increased funding. The methods and strategy used in this effort are presented.
