SEDIMENTATION IN THE GULF-OF-FINLAND RELA TED TO ANTHROPOGENIC LOAD

Concentrations of dissolved and suspended forms of Zn, Cu, Pb, Cd and Hg and content of these elements in water suspension and bottom sedime nts, as well as in the Gulf of Finland were determined. It was found o ut that in November 1991, waters of the most eastern part of the Gulf of Finland from the Nevskaya Guba as well as bottom sediments contain trace metals and phosphorous 2-10 times more than waters and sediments of the open part of the Gulf of Finland.
