S. Szymura et al., THE CORRELATION BETWEEN THE COERCIVITY AND THE MECHANICAL-PROPERTIES OF SINTERED RARE-EARTH IRON-BORON MAGNETS, Journal of physics. Condensed matter, 6(19), 1994, pp. 3573-3582
Experimental proof of the correlation between the intrinsic coercivity
, and the elastic and strength properties of sintered Pr-Fe-Co-B, Nd-F
e-Ti-B and Nd-RE-Fe-Co-M-B (RE = Dy, Pr or Tb; M = Al, Cr, Nb, (W, Re)
or Zr) magnets has been examined. It is found that there exists stron
g correlation between the intrinsic coercivity (i)H(c) and the mechani
cal properties; the increase in (i)H(c) results in increases in the im
pact strength, ultimate tensile stress, bending strength and fracture
toughness and in decreases in the elastic constant, Vickers hardness a
nd tensile strength.
