Abstract
The Langerhans cells in samples of histologically normal and pathologi cal vocal cord mucosa were counted after identification using S-100 po lyclonal antibody. Langerhans cells were commonly seen in vocal cord p olyp epithelium but were infrequent in normal cord mucosa. They were a lso identified in samples of squamous carcinoma. severe dysplasia and chronic inflammation.
