P. Chakraborty et al., THE BINDING-ENERGIES OF VARIOUS COMPONENTS IN A BISMUTH-BASED CUPRATESUPERCONDUCTOR, Journal of non-crystalline solids, 193, 1995, pp. 170-174
A structural analysis of a non-crystalline bismuth-based high-T-c cera
mic superconductor (Bi,Pb)(2)Sr2Ca2Cu3O10+delta (Bi-2223) has been car
ried out by secondary ion mass spectrometry and X-ray photoelectron sp
ectroscopy techniques. The results have been compared with that of sim
ilar measurements on non-crystalline Bi2O3, CuO and CaCO3 samples so a
s to have detailed information about the surface binding energy as wel
l as the chemical nature of the various individual components that exi
st inside this high-T-c compound.
