Abstract
Radial distribution functions deduced from energy-filtered electron di ffraction data have been obtained for vitreous silica, neutron-amorphi zed quartz, ion-amorphized quartz and electron-amorphized quartz, cris tobalite and tridymite. Measurable differences in short-range and medi um-range structure exist among these six forms of metamict silica.
