TECHNICAL DEMANDS ON THE SONOGRAPHY IN SM ALL ANIMALS

The present review about the most important parameters of small animal ultrasound has the aim to facilitate the selection of the gear and th e decision concerning the practicability of sonography under the respe ctive circumstances. The choice of the device and especially of the sc anner depends on the purpose of the examination. Advantages and disadv antages of the different possibilities for documentation are described and the important items which are to be taken into account during the examination are presented.
