Abstract
Formation of <<plant height>> character was studied in two complete mo nosomic series of spring wheat Opal with Opal and Chinese Spring cytop lasms. Concrete chromosomes, participating in a genetic control of pla nt height during the whole vegetative period (2A, 5A-on Opal cytoplasm , 4B, 7D-on Chinese Spring cytoplasm, 4A, 7A-on both cytoplasms) were revealed. Monosomic effect of each chromosome can change under the inf luence of cytoplasm and depends upon a developmental stage.
