Abstract
Radioiodine-131 has attained a significant role in the treatment of di fferentiated thyroid cancer. The most favorable outcome can be expecte d when iodine-131 is used in coordination with meticulous surgery and, rarely, with radiograph therapy and chemotherapy. A standard radioiod ine regimen has proven itself for the majority of these patients and e nsures few complications of a transient and benign nature.
