-TETRAAZACYCLOPENT[CD]AZULENE-1(2H),4(3H)-DITHIONE

The title compound, C11H18N4S3, contains elongated N-S bonds [1.877(1) and 1.903(1) Angstrom] which are greater by 7.9 and 9.4%, respectivel y, than the two-centre two-electron N-S bond [1.74 Angstrom; Alien, Ke nnard, Watson, Brammer, Orpen & Taylor (1987). J. Chem. Soc. Perkin Tr ans. 2, pp. S1-S19]. The lengths of corresponding bonds and the size o f the corresponding bond angles in the two halves of the triheterapent alene framework are very similar, differing from one another at most b y 0.027 Angstrom and 0.83 degrees, respectively.
