Abstract
The Bermeja peridotite massif is placed over the cordierite gneiss wit h lithoclasts (GCL) that overly schists belonging to the Guadaiza unit . Elements derived from various Alpujarride units constitute the litho clasts. The gneiss record extensional brittle and ductile shearing, co ntemporary with leucogranite intrusions. The occurrence of peridotite slices inside the gneiss gives evidence that several imbricate slabs o f mantle peridotite form part of the Alpujarride complex.
