Two-dimensional Stokes flow generated by an acoustic streaming around
two circular cylinders were studied. A series solution method is devel
oped to obtain both the potential and Stokes flows. Calculation result
s for two equal cylinders show that the streaming flow pattern undergo
es six bifurcations with the direction of the oscillatory motion of th
e fluid when two bodies are at moderate or large distance. When they c
ome closer, the pattern becomes more complicated especially in the gap
region. The present solution method can be easily extended to an arbi
trary arrangement of multiple circular cylinders with different radii.
