Abstract
Low-resolution spectrometer (LRS) spectra of 152 IRAS CCGCS1 sources w ith 12-mum fluxes of between 5 and 10 Jy are presented. This is part o f an effort to extract spectra from the LRS 'raw data base' to search for more carbon stars with silicate emission features. The new spectra have been examined by eye and divided into six groups based on the cl assification scheme of Volk & Cohen. Four new carbon stars with silica te emission features (00519 + 5817, 19451 + 2856, 19583 - 0730 and 200 92 + 3557) are found. The LRS spectra of three other carbon stars (080 35 - 3837, 09083 - 5158 and 13182 - 6510) probably also contain silica te emission features.
