Abstract
This article provides a comprehensive review of the professional Liter ature on career counseling interventions with gay and lesbian clients. It summarizes the practice knowledge gleaned from that literature and makes recommendations on what research needs to be conducted to estab lish the area of gay and lesbian career development in the published r esearch literature.
