Abstract
The interaction of 1,1,2-tricarbamoyl-2-cyanoethane with crotonaldehyd e in water in the presence of a catalytic amount of triethylamine lead s to yano-4-hydroxy-2-oxo-3-azobicyclo[3.2.1]oct-6-ene, the structure of which has been determined by X-ray crystallography.
