Abstract
We describe a graphical user interface kit that allows the user to rec ognize conveniently the contours and inner holes of an object in a bin ary image. The interface is named ''Hole and Connectivity in Pattern R ecognition'' (HCPR). It uses the operations of mathematical morphology . HCPR provides a viewing window which allows the user to observe the image or its contours directly from HCPR's interface.
