Abstract
The anomalous scaling of factorial moments with continuously diminishi ng scale is studied using a random cascading model. It is shown that t he model currently used have the property of anomalous scaling only fo r descrete values of elementary cell size. A revised model is proposed which can give good scaling property also for continuously varying sc ale. It turns out that the strip integral has good scaling property pr ovided the integral regions are chosen correctly, and that this proper ty is insensitive to the concrete way of self-similar subdivision of p hase space in the models.
