Abstract
In this paper, controlling of chaotic dynamics by stabilizing desired unstable periodic orbits embedded in a chaotic attractor of a Bonhoeff er-van der Pol (BVP) equation is studied using recently proposed three control algorithms [1-4]. A comparative study of these methods is mad e. Variation of correction signal with time, dependence of recovery ti me on the stiffness epsilon of the control signal and stability region show different characteristic features in the three control schemes.
