O. Kimura et al., ENHANCED DISPERSION FREQUENCY OF HOT-PRESSED Z-TYPE MAGNETOPLUMBITE FERRITE WITH THE COMPOSITION 2COO-CENTER-DOT-3BA(0.5)O-CENTER-DOT-10.8FE(2)O(3), Journal of the American Ceramic Society, 78(10), 1995, pp. 2857-2860
The high-frequency magnetic properties of strontium-partially-substitu
ted Z-type magnetoplumbite with the composition 2CoO . 3Ba(1-x)Sr(x)O
. yFe(2)O(3) mere studied using a hot-pressing technique. The best pro
perties were obtained for a sample hot-pressed in oxygen, having x and
y values of 0.5 and 10.8, respectively. The resonant frequency of tha
t sample, corresponding to a mu '' maximum reaching 2.5 GHz, was signi
ficantly larger than the value of 1.4 GHz previously reported for unsu
bstituted Z, with the composition 2CoO . 3BaO . 12Fe(2)O(3). This resu
lt implies that a new ferrite material, applicable in the gigahertz re
gion, has been obtained.
