Abstract
One approach for evaluating the quality and cost of patient care is th rough outcomes management. Outcomes management in a neonatal environme nt will be described within a structure-process-outcome framework. Out comes will be presented from three perspectives: administrative, econo mic and clinical. The relevance and implications of outcomes managemen t will be discussed.
