Abstract
This media taxonomy serves both research and development of multimedia applications. Two graduate courses used it successfully, one on multi media design and another on the research and evaluation of interactive multimedia. It correlates well with previous categorizations of multi media and helps researchers better understand the impact and value add ed by an individual medium in a multimedia presentation.
