A 45-year-old woman was admitted to the hospital with a brain abscess
due to asymptomatic pulmonary arteriovenous malformation (PAVM). The b
rain abscess was removed by craniotomy and excision following antibiot
ic therapy. The stapled wedge excision of the lung with the PAVM was s
uccessful under video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery.
