GENOTYPING OF KAPPA-CASEIN AND BETA-LACTOGLOBULIN OF MOTHERS OF BULLSSELECTED FOR THE HOLSTEIN CATTLE-BREEDING PROGRAM IN THE CZECH-REPUBLIC IN THE YEAR 1994
J. Pazdera et al., GENOTYPING OF KAPPA-CASEIN AND BETA-LACTOGLOBULIN OF MOTHERS OF BULLSSELECTED FOR THE HOLSTEIN CATTLE-BREEDING PROGRAM IN THE CZECH-REPUBLIC IN THE YEAR 1994, Zivocisna vyroba, 40(11), 1995, pp. 485-488
The gene and genotypic frequencies at kappa-casein (CSN3) and beta-lac
toglobulin (LGB) loci of mothers of bulls of Holstein breed selected f
or the breeding programme in the Czech Republic in the year 1994 were
investigated. Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) followed by restriction
enzyme digestion for genotypes was used for determination of genotypes
. The frequencies of CSN3(A) and CSN3(B) alleles were 0.82 and 0.18, r
espectively, and LGB(A) and LGB(B) 0.41 and 0.59, respectively. CSNC a
nd CSNE alleles were not present. Gene frequencies reported in Holstei
n by other authors are compared.
