In this paper, we are interested in a two decomposition method based o
n the partition of the structure in some substructures: the iterative
substructure method and the method based on the symmetry groups. We co
nsider a symmetric and repetitive structure. One can meet such symmetr
ical structure in many domains such as chemistry, mathematics and stru
ctural mechanics (rotor, stator for example), etc. Both static and dyn
amic cases are considered. The two methods can be applicable to bidime
nsional and tridimensional. problems with arbitrary loadings. Finally,
the numerical tests, relative to the static and dynamic cases, illust
rate our case.
